Maintenance Mechanical Engineer | Comsip Al’A’ali – Bahrain

Role Overview

Responsible for mechanical maintenance planning, execution, and supervision of critical equipment across industrial projects. Ensure compliance with HSE standards while improving reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for mechanical assets.

  • Lead and manage turnarounds and shutdowns effectively.

  • Hands-on experience with static equipment: pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pipelines, and storage tanks.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot rotating equipment: pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes.

  • Conduct and supervise inspections using NDT techniques (UT, RT, PT).

  • Implement condition-based monitoring: vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis.

  • Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for equipment history, work orders, and maintenance planning.

  • Manage mechanical maintenance projects, including overhauls and modifications.

  • Review engineering designs and specifications for compliance with standards.

  • Ensure adherence to HSE regulations and industry standards (API, ASME, ISO).

  • Conduct risk assessments, participate in safety audits, and support incident investigations.

  • Analyze maintenance data to drive efficiency and reliability improvements.

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 15 years of mechanical maintenance experience in oil & gas (onshore/offshore), refinery, or petrochemical industry.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.

  • Proven experience in planning and executing maintenance, inspections, and project management.
