Linguist – U.S. Army Operations (Bahrain)

Join Amentum and make a global impact through language and cultural expertise. This is your chance to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting U.S. Army operations in Bahrain, providing essential linguistic and cultural insight to senior leadership and operational teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide contract linguist support during military operations, meetings, and interviews.

  • Interpret and translate between Arabic, Persian-Farsi, and English with accuracy and professionalism.

  • Transcribe and analyze verbal communications for key information.

  • Scan, research, and evaluate foreign language materials for relevant intelligence.

  • Offer cultural and regional expertise, supporting mission understanding and strategy.

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

  • Excellent command of Arabic, Persian-Farsi, and English (ILR proficiency level 3 in target languages, 2+ in English).

  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport or be willing to apply immediately after selection.

  • Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one prior to deployment.

  • Willingness to work in Bahrain and aboard Navy vessels for short-term assignments.

  • Flexible to work extended shifts and 24/7 operational support when required.

  • Familiarity with local culture, customs, and etiquette.

  • Must pass a medical examination and meet Army MOD15 fitness standards.
