Linguist – Persian Farsi Specialist (Future Opportunity) – U.S. Army Operations – Bahrain

Amentum invites qualified Persian Farsi Linguists to express interest in future openings supporting U.S. Army operations in Bahrain. These linguists will serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), providing vital cultural and linguistic insights that enhance mission effectiveness and cross-cultural understanding.

Important Notice
Please note: there is currently no active opening for this position. Applications will be reviewed and processed on an as-needed basis for future opportunities.

Purpose of the Position
Linguists will support military operations by delivering expert interpretation, translation, and cultural analysis to assist senior leadership in understanding regional political, historical, sociological, and economic dynamics.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide operational linguist support during interviews, meetings, and conferences.

  • Translate, transcribe, and analyze verbal and written communications.

  • Research and identify key information in foreign-language materials.

  • Offer cultural insights relevant to regional affairs.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Excellent command of Persian Farsi and English, with ILR Level 3 proficiency in both speaking and reading.

  • Must hold or obtain a valid U.S. passport.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain one prior to deployment).

  • Willingness to work in Bahrain and aboard U.S. Navy vessels for limited durations.

  • Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations.

  • Familiarity with local customs and cultural practices.

  • Must successfully complete a medical examination and meet Army MOD15 standards.
