Job Description


Management of Legal Framework
Oversee the legal framework for Bapco Upstream, Bapco Gas, and other Strategic Business Units (SBUs) across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all applicable local and international laws.

Legal Advisory and Support
Provide accurate, timely, and expert legal advice, opinions, and guidance to Senior and Executive Management across all SBU departments. Offer legal support on matters involving customers, vendors, and partners, as well as in areas such as finance, insurance, employment, regulation, and dispute resolution — under the direction of the Group SVP, BE Entities.

Contract Management and Negotiations
Lead and manage the drafting, review, and negotiation of high-value contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, memorandums of understanding, term sheets, service agreements, and purchase orders. Analyze the associated risk profiles and manage legal risks effectively to protect the organization’s interests.

Risk Mitigation and Dispute Resolution
Develop and implement legal risk mitigation strategies and claims management solutions. Oversee mediation and arbitration processes and negotiate major project-related claims and settlements with third parties.

Coordination with External Counsel
Liaise with and supervise external legal counsel on ongoing matters, including local litigation, and collaborate to develop effective legal strategies that achieve optimal outcomes for the company, as directed by the Group SVP, BE Entities.

Stakeholder and Regulatory Relations
Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies — including government agencies and industry associations — to ensure seamless collaboration and compliance.
