NSA BOSS Bahrain: MHE & Vehicle Mechanic – Contingency Hire

KBR is seeking a skilled and certified MHE & Vehicle Mechanic to join our team supporting maintenance operations for NSA Bahrain. This role involves diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance of vehicles and material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts, loaders, trucks, and other heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on vehicles and MHE.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs.

  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance according to company and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts usage.

  • Assist the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor in scheduling and prioritizing tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.

  • Operate diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently.

  • Support inventory management of tools and spare parts.

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance.

  • Valid Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification (NCCER, ASE Heavy Truck, or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

  • Proficiency in diagnostic software and tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE Certification for automotive systems preferred.

  • EPA Section 609 Certification for air conditioning systems (preferred).

  • Fluent in English.

  • Must possess a US passport with at least 12 months validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.

  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple interruptions/distractions.

Physical Requirements

  • Work in various environments, including outdoors, workshops, and near heavy machinery.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

  • إجراء التفتيشات والصيانة الوقائية وفق معايير الشركة واللوائح التنظيمية.

  • الحفاظ على سجلات دقيقة للإصلاحات والتفتيشات واستخدام القطع.

  • مساعدة مشرف صيانة المركبات في جدولة المهام وتحديد أولوياتها.

  • ضمان الالتزام بإجراءات السلامة واللوائح البيئية.

  • استخدام أدوات ومعدات التشخيص بكفاءة.

  • دعم إدارة المخزون من الأدوات وقطع الغيار.

المؤهلات الأساسية / المطلوبة

  • شهادة الثانوية العامة أو ما يعادلها؛ يفضل التدريب الفني أو المهني.

  • خبرة لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في صيانة المركبات والمعدات الثقيلة.

  • شهادة مهندس ميكانيكا معدات ثقيلة (NCCER، ASE Heavy Truck أو ما يعادلها).

  • معرفة قوية بمحركات الديزل، الأنظمة الهيدروليكية والكهربائية والمكونات الميكانيكية.

  • القدرة على قراءة وتفسير الأدلة الفنية والمخططات.

  • إجادة استخدام برامج وأدوات التشخيص.

  • مهارات ممتازة في حل المشكلات والتواصل.

  • القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وكجزء من فريق.

المؤهلات المفضلة

  • شهادة ASE لأنظمة السيارات (مفضلة).

  • شهادة EPA القسم 609 لأنظمة التكييف (مفضلة).

  • إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية.

  • يجب امتلاك جواز سفر أمريكي ساري لمدة 12 شهر على الأقل مع 6 صفحات فارغة على الأقل.
