Spare Parts Engineer (Electrical) – Comsip Al A’Ali, Bahrain

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a standardized material master database in ERP systems (SAP, Maximo).

  • Ensure accurate material descriptions, classifications, and coding structures according to international standards.

  • Eliminate duplicate entries and maintain accurate spare parts records.

  • Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and maintenance teams for correct specifications and interchangeability information.

  • Analyze historical consumption and maintenance data to optimize inventory levels.

  • Develop min-max stocking strategies based on criticality, lead times, and usage patterns.

  • Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

  • Collaborate with reliability engineers to ensure availability of critical spare parts for electrical, rotating, and static equipment.

  • Support procurement with technical evaluation of spare parts and sourcing alternatives.

  • Implement best practices in warehouse management to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

  • Assist in Bill of Materials (BOM) development and updates.

  • Support shutdowns and turnarounds by ensuring timely availability of critical spares.

  • Generate reports and KPIs to track spare parts efficiency, inventory turnover, and cost savings.

  • Drive continuous improvement in materials cataloging, inventory optimization, and procurement processes.

Candidate Profile & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in spare parts cataloging and inventory management within oil & gas.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP MM, Maximo, Oracle, or similar).

  • Familiarity with international material classification standards (UNSPSC, ISO 8000, NATO Codification).

  • Understanding of oil & gas equipment (rotating, static, electrical, instrumentation).

  • Data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar).

  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and spare parts criticality analysis.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • تحديد المخزون البطيء أو المتقادم لتحسين الكفاءة وتقليل التكاليف.

  • التعاون مع مهندسي الاعتمادية لضمان توفر قطع الغيار الحرجة للمعدات الكهربائية والدورانية والثابتة.

  • دعم المشتريات من خلال التقييم الفني لقطع الغيار وخيارات المصادر البديلة.

  • تطبيق أفضل الممارسات في إدارة المستودعات لتقليل نفاد المخزون والمخزون الزائد.

  • المساعدة في تطوير وتحديث قوائم مواد المعدات (BOM).

  • دعم عمليات الإغلاق والصيانة الكبرى لضمان توفر القطع الحرجة في الوقت المناسب.

  • إعداد التقارير ومؤشرات الأداء لمتابعة كفاءة قطع الغيار ودوران المخزون وتوفير التكاليف.

  • دفع التحسين المستمر في تصنيف المواد وتحسين المخزون وعمليات المشتريات.

المؤهلات والخبرة

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية، الهندسة الصناعية، إدارة سلسلة الإمداد، أو مجال ذي صلة.

  • خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات في تصنيف قطع الغيار وإدارة المخزون في قطاع النفط والغاز.
