Instrument Fitter – Comsip Al’ A’ali, Bahrain

Key Responsibilities

  • Instrument Installation: Accurately mount and install field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, and analyzers) on process lines, equipment, or control panels as per technical drawings and project specifications.

  • Tubing & Pipework: Fabricate, route, and install impulse and hydraulic tubing/piping for instrumentation, ensuring integrity and compliance.

  • Instrument Cabling & Wiring: Lay, terminate, and connect instrument signal and power cables in junction boxes, marshalling panels, and control cabinets per wiring schedules and loop diagrams.

  • Instrument Calibration & Testing: Assist in field calibration, loop checking, and functional testing of process instruments following standards and quality procedures.

  • Commissioning Support: Support engineers during pre-commissioning and commissioning, including troubleshooting and remediation.

  • Documentation: Record installation, calibration, and test results. Ensure proper marking and tagging according to project documentation.

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Strictly follow HSE standards, safe work practices, and use of PPE in all workshop and site activities.

  • Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate efficiently with engineering, electrical, and QA/QC teams to deliver high-quality installations.

Required Experience

  • 2–5 years of proven work experience as an Instrument Fitter in installation, calibration, and maintenance, preferably in oil & gas, power, process, or industrial automation.

  • Familiarity with field instruments, control valves, and instrument fittings.

  • Experience reading P&IDs, loop diagrams, and isometric drawings.

  • Adherence to industrial safety standards in plant or construction environments.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings.

  • Solid experience with instrument tubing, installation standards, and plant safety.

  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

  • كابلات وأسلاك الأجهزة: توصيل الأسلاك والإشارات الخاصة بالأجهزة في صناديق التوصيل ولوحات التحكم وفق المخططات والجداول.

  • معايرة واختبار الأجهزة: المساعدة في المعايرة الميدانية، فحص الحلقات، واختبار وظائف الأجهزة وفق المعايير وإجراءات الجودة.

  • دعم التشغيل والاختبار النهائي: دعم المهندسين أثناء مراحل ما قبل التشغيل والتشغيل، بما في ذلك حل المشاكل المتعلقة بالأجهزة.

  • توثيق العمل: تسجيل نتائج التركيب والمعايرة والاختبارات والتأكد من التوسيم والتصنيف الصحيح وفق الوثائق.

  • السلامة والصحة والبيئة (HSE): الالتزام التام بمعايير السلامة وارتداء معدات الحماية الشخصية في جميع أنشطة الورش والمواقع.
